Remember

Today’s Through the Bible Reading: Joshua 22-24

Abbreviated Reading: Joshua 23

…And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed. Joshua 23:14

Not one good thing that God has promised us has failed! In today’s Bible reading Joshua is giving his final words and recounts all the Lord had done.

Is your heart filled with awe as you bring to mind all the Lord has done for you? I realized as writing this how quickly my heart can lose that awe. It is so important that we stop, and like Joshua in today’s reading, recount all that the Lord has done for us.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Psalm 103:2-4

As we fill our mind with remembering His goodness and faithfulness, we’ll find true perspective and our heart will lean towards Him, because He loves us.

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Remember all God has done. Remember that great day when Jesus saved you and made you new. That was the greatest day in life, because it brought Life itself! Remember His mighty deeds and His great love (Ps 78:4). Remember we've been redeemed by Jesus' blood; forgiven by His grace; justified by His righteousness, and are being sanctified through His Spirit and Word. He supplies all our needs (Phil 4:19) and hears all our prayers (1 John 5:14).

Let His Word fill your heart today and His truth be the best news of your day.
