All Debts Paid

Today’s Through the Bible Reading: Romans 2- 4

Could you imagine the excitement you'd have if you found out that this Christmas someone was going to pay off ALL your debt, no matter the size. If you owed anything to anyone, it would be covered.

That is exactly what Jesus did for us. We owed an insurmountable amount of debt due to our sin. He took care of it all. But you see, we serve an awesome God who not only paid our debt, but added to our account and gave us a surplus of benefits.

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32

The price He paid did not cost us anything, we simply had to accept this free gift of love.

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:24

Through Christ we are forgiven of our sins, out debt paid (Col 1:14). We are JUSTIFIED (Just-if-I’d never sinned). The demands of justice were met, the debt satisfied and our guilt removed. (Ps 103:12; Col 2:14; Heb 10:14)

We have so very much to thank God for this Christmas season and it starts with salvation.
