Hope

“…hope in the Lord from henceforth and forever.” Ps. 131:3

This week at our Women's Friday Bible study and Prayer meeting we focused on HOPE. Who doesn't need that! Here's an excerpt - but be sure to print out the entire Bible study and dig into God's Word...

Hope means: The absolute expectation of coming good

Hope is our hearts and minds being convinced that God WILL do what He says. That is far more than an emotion or a pep talk that we give ourselves.

“from henceforth” - don’t worry about the yesterday’s when you didn’t hope in the Lord, start today and hope in the Lord FOREVER

“…forgetting those things which are behind, & reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”  Phil 3:13, 14

God gave us examples to build Hope in us

“Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition…” 1 Cor. 10:11
“That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:” Ps. 78:7

Let’s build our hope by reassuring our hearts and minds of who God is and what He does for us. Let’s look at His past provision for His people and pay attention to how it relates to whatever situation we face today.
