God Cares About Details
Today's Through the Bible Reading: Exodus 25-27
Abbreviated Reading: Exodus 25:1 - 22; 26:30 - 34; 27:20, 21
“Then have them make a sanctuary for Me, and I will dwell among them.” Exodus 25:8 niv
God gave specific instructions to Israel regarding how to build the sanctuary, the place where His presence would dwell. That was the Old Testament. As New Testament Christians, He now lives in our hearts. But, like Israel we are given instructions regarding how our hearts are to be sanctified and prepared to be a place where He dwells and our lives transformed.
Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you. Exodus 25:8, 9
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19
As God’s temple, the Holy Spirit lives in us. That means He is always with us.
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5
Just like God gave Israel directions as to what was acceptable in God’s house, The Holy Spirit instructs us to “be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2)
Let’s dig into God’s Word today, and be transformed!
