God’s Patience

Today’s Through the Bible Reading: 2 Peter 1-3; 2 Timothy 1

God’s patience is one of His most encouraging attributes! However, we shouldn't mistake His longsuffering for His indifference towards sin. God hates sin and when He warns us to turn away from it, we should!

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

God’s Word is true and He keeps His promises. He promised to send a Redeemer and He did. God promised Adam and Eve that He would provide a remedy for their mess up (Gen. 3:15). He personally came and cleaned up the mess we created.

Like those wise men of old - may we seek our Redeemer this Christmas season and find the Light of the World, who is so very patient with us and who keeps His promises.
