Adoration for our King

Today’s Through the Bible Reading: Titus 1-3; 1 Peter 1

As we enjoy our Christmas celebrations this season, let's take time to consider our redemption and how it began with Christ's birth. Almighty God humbled Himself, was born in a lowly manger. He lived a simple life serving those He came to die for. Had He not been willing to take our infirmities and bare our iniquities, we would not have been redeemed and couldn't be saved from our sins. With that in mind, Christmas is certainly a time to say "Thank you Jesus!" and with the utmost thankfulness and humbled hearts, "happy birthday Savior."

Did you know that before each of us could be saved we first needed to be redeemed? Each of us were in a spiritual state of debt. Our salvation had to start with our debt being paid and God buying us back with the proper payment for our sin.

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold…But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 1 Peter 1:18, 19

Redeemed means: To release upon payment of a ransom. As Christians we have been redeemed. (Col 1:14)

Precious Jesus paid it ALL and it started with Him in a manger. O Come Let Us Adore Him, Christ the King.
