Today’s Bible Reading: Mark 4:30- 5:20; Matt. 13:24-52; Matt. 8:23-34; Luke 8:22-39

God’s Word is true. He keeps His promises! He is a faithful God who is trustworthy. Where He guides, He will provide. His love endures forever. His plans are perfect. His purposes are sure. If there’s a storm in your life that has you rattled, don’t despair! God promises to take us from glory to glory and we’ll arrive safely on the other side – guaranteed! (2 Corinthians 3:18)

In today’s through the Bible reading, the disciples found themselves terrified by a storm. Jesus and the disciples were on their way across the Sea of Galilee. Jesus had said, “Let us go over to the other side.” but on the way a “furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped.” Mark 4:35-37

God’s Word is true and we can rest on His promises. Even in the midst of a furious squall, Jesus simply spoke to the storm and the raging seas stilled.

Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them. Psalm 89:9

If God has led you in a certain direction or given you a promise, don’t be rattled by the storm you encounter along the way. Call on Jesus, who rules the seas and the wind and waves obey Him (Mark 4:41). His plans are steadfast. What He determines, He will accomplish. He promises to finish the good work in us that He’s begun.

Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

He promises us peace that passes understanding (Phil. 4:7) and life everlasting (Rom. 6:23). These plans are steadfast and cannot be thwarted!
